Lahontan Chapter

Update Getting It Done

Our last chapter meeting was held in May. At that meeting Janet
Phillips talked with the group about the Tahoe Pyramid Trail and
some difficulties that her organization is having to finish the trail.
Since the May meeting, we have been on summer break from
regular chapter meetings.

In June, the chapter held a successful a golf tournament at Toiyabe
Golf Club. The tournament committee headed by Justin Moore and photogrammetry
Eric Sage did an excellent job organizing the tournament. Feedback
I have received is that those in attendance had a great time. Thank and survey solutions
you to all who attended and made the event a success. A special
thank you to the sponsors. Without the support of the sponsors,
we could not put on such an enjoyable event.
On September 14 we will be returning to regular chapter meetings.

Our guest speaker for September is author Robert D. Temple.
Robert has authored numerous articles on state boundaries. He
has also written and lectured about the history of Yucatan, Mexico.
In September Robert will be speaking to the group about his article
“Bounding the Silver State.” And plenty of learning opportunities!

To close out the year we will be holding chapter meetings in October
and November. The board is working on booking speakers for
these meetings. Information and invitations will be sent out for
the October and November meetings when we get closer to those
dates. We will also be holding a Lahontan Chapter Christmas party
in December. Date, time, and location to be determined for the The perfect opportunity for in-person Carlson Training
Christmas party as well, keep an eye out for that information.
