Dorothy Calegari, along with her firm, was the organizing and driving force behind the development, growth, and direction of CLSA from
its early days. Always available with helpful advice to both the Association Directors, fledgling chapters, and individuals with trivial (or
otherwise) questions, she guided the Association to make it what it is today.

I especially remember her indication to me that a certain original copy of a GLO Township Plat being auctioned at one of the conference
Scholarship Auctions would look great framed on her office wall. Unfortunately, she was outbid – but it does look great on my office wall –
as I said – always helpful direction.

Thanks for your many years of efforts on behalf of the associations as well as your friendship Dorothy.

From Phil Danskin - Past Editor Cal Surveyor (1998 - 2004)_

So . . . I get an email from our Nevada cousin, Trent Keenan, asking for some praise of The Living Legend - Dorothy Calegari.

Fortunately, I have had to privilege of knowing and working with Dorothy for several years when I was the Editor of the Cal Surveyor.
She and her staff were always patient with my always late compilation of the Cal Surveyor and poorly written editorials.

My habit was “manana” . . . and things didn’t get done. Her advice to me was perform the task, return the call and do it as soon as
possible. Dorothy’s sage advice has help us to acquire work due to a prompt returned phone call and proposal.

Needless to say - she’s a Living Legend and then some! The lady and her crew are like the Energizer Bunnies when it comes time to
tackling conferences, managing NALS, and others and fielding questions from members. How do they do it all? We all know how
difficult it is to book a venue for a seminar, grab a speaker . . . try to make a little money for the scholarship fund all the while - trying to
get some professional education. Dorothy and her crew make putting on a seminar/conference look as easy as child’s play.

But there is more to Dorothy than being the conductor of a symphony of surveyors with opinions as diverse as virus’. She is also
forbearing. Even through hardships like the loss of her home to the Tubbs Fires in 2017 and the loss of her husband shortly thereafter,
Dorothy continued to provide flawless services to the associations, (none knowing what Dorothy was dealing with at those difficult
        times and never seeking pity!).

Dorothy, Crissy and staff work for their clients as though they were family.

Dorothy, you are deservedly amongst Living Legends! The likes of which are Steve Parrish and Rita Lumos. And that is as close to
heaven as one can get and still be breathing.

        From Paul S. Pace, PLS_

It would be scarcely possible to overstate Dorothy’s significance to the surveying communities in Nevada and California. For decades
she worked toward the betterment of our states’ organizations. Her commitment to our continuing education and the cohesiveness of
the organizations through the joint conferences has always shone brightly.
Her unique knowledge, professionalism and her integrity have contributed to the success of NALS and CLSA that we enjoy today.
Dorothy has always been a hard worker, often behind the scenes and not always garnering the respect she was due. Yet she is always
cheerful and helpful, and unfailingly loyal to the organizations she represents.

Dorothy deserves our highest respect and admiration.

From Ben V. Petersen, PLS - Chair – Western Federation of Professional Surveyors_

I first met Dorothy in 2001 as part of the LSAW conference committee planning for a 2003 joint conference with WFPS in SeaTac,
Washington. I was a conference rookie and thought I knew more than I did, but she knew her stuff. This wasn’t her first conference
rodeo. Thank God. The conference was a huge success … despite me. We interacted on and off again as I made my way up the LSAW
ladder and while serving as a second to “Big Mike” Mickiewicz at the WFPS board meetings. Our state association is steadier and
stronger now that her company, AMS, manages our state association. Dorothy was always and remains the epitome of grace, dignity,
reason and preparedness. I always loved her cheerful demeanor and always ended a conversation with her feeling more upbeat than
when I started. I should call her more often.

        From Aaron Smith _

Dorothy has been involved with us crazy people (surveyors) for a very long time and was the single largest influence in all of the
great organizations she served as Executive Director. She is incredibly talented with an extensive knowledge base in leadership and
development and is one the largest reasons all of her clients (organizations) have excelled. Not only did she CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE u
