MINUTES MOVED by Jake Johnson and SECONDED to ratify the committee and
CALL TO ORDER liaison appointments as reported. MOTION CARRIED.
President Justin Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 AM.
The NALS Board of Directors appoints the Principal Directors on
ROLL CALL the NALS Education Foundation Board of Directors. The terms for
Justin Moore, 2021 President Bill Kruger and Alan Dill are expiring this year. Both have indicated a
Robert Carrington, 2022 President willingness to continue serving should the NALS Board approve.

Nick Ariotti, Secretary MOVED by Nick Ariotti and SECONDED to appoint Bill Kruger and Alan
Greg Phillips, 2021 Immediate Past President Dill to the Education Foundation as Principal Directors for a two-year

Both the year-end and current financial statements were included
Guest: Heather Keenan, Young Surveyors Network in the agenda. It was noted that NALS surpassed projections for
membership and conference. The Nevada Traverse magazine also
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE came in under budget and is projected to break even in 2022.
President Justin Moore led the Board of Directors in the Pledge of
Allegiance. MOVED by Trent Keenan and SECONDED to accept the financial
statements as included in the agenda. MOTION CARRIED.
ADDITIONS/CHANGES TO AGENDA
There were no additions or changes to the agenda. EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS REPORT
Executive Director Crissy Willson reported on the activities over the
INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS – OATH OF OFFICE last quarter.
2021 President Justin Moore installed the 2022 Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors took the NALS Oath of Office. NALS realized a net increase in membership in 2021. We maintained
the same number of regular (licensed) members and increased both
2022 NALS Board of Directors associate and corresponding members. The retention of existing
Robert Carrington, President members and recruitment of new members is a team effort. The

Report included in agenda. NDOT Chair Greg Phillips reported that new login information to
access the NDOT database will be sent soon.
President Robert Carrington reported making the following
committee appointments. WFPS DIRECTORS
WFPS Directors Trent Keenan and Greg Phillips reported on the
Committee Appointments activities of Western Federation of Professional Surveyors (WFPS or
Advanced Education – Trent Keenan WestFed).
Advanced Technology – Michael Detwiler
Board of Registration Liaison – Jake Johnson Trent Keenan was installed a Secretary/Treasurer of WFPS.
Bylaws – Nancy Almanzan
Communications/Publications – Trent Keenan WFPS has developed study material for those preparing to take
Continuing Education/Conference – Nancy Almanzan the FS Exam. The course includes approximately 16 hours of video
Legislative – Robert Carrington recordings by Dane Couville and Knud Hermansen, as well as a
Membership – Jake Johnson & Frank Wittie manual. WFPS wanted to provide an affordable option for study
NDOT Liaison – Greg Phillips to help recruit more professionals. The entire course is priced
