The NALS Board of Directors is comprised of the Officers (President, President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer) and the Directors. The Directors are elected by the Chapters based on the number of members. The Board of Directors is the ultimate governing authority of NALS and it oversees the implementation of all NALS policies and programs to ensure the organization's stability and viability to fulfill our mission.
NALS has 13 standing committees including: Bylaws, Membership, Advanced Education, Scholarships, Legislation, Publications, Continuing Education/Conference, Ethics, Communications, Outreach, Advanced Technology, and Nominating Committee. In addition, from time to time the Board of Directors may also create special or ad-hoc committees. If you are interested in serving on a committee, please contact the NALS Executive Office.
One of the greatest benefits of membership is the ability to network with your peers. When you join NALS you will have the opportunity to join one of the NALS Chapters which allows you to meet locally with other Land Surveyors. Chapters include: Lahontan and Southern Nevada. Chapters offer montyly meetings, continuing education events, and networking opportunities.
By joining NALS you can participate in the exchange of new concepts and ideas. You can help to solve problems that may exist within the surveying profession. You can gain new knowledge and experience through contact with others. You can grow and develop, both personally and professionally. Click here to learn more about membership.
